Information we collect

We collect your email, vehicle year, make and model, mileage if supplied, ZIP code, symptom text, uploaded quote images or PDFs, and text and line items extracted from those quotes. We also keep report information and basic analytics events, such as estimator use, checkout starts, completed payments and report views.

Paddle.com acts as our Merchant of Record and processes payment and billing information under its own Privacy Policy. We may retain payment identifiers and payment status, but we never see or store card numbers.

Before you upload

Blur or remove your name, address, phone number, license plate and VIN, along with any other personal information not needed to assess the prices. Keep the repair descriptions and amounts readable.

How we use information

We use information to produce and email your report, respond to support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain the service. We may use de-identified or aggregated quote data to improve accuracy and reference pricing. Individual quotes are not publicly displayed.

AI processing and service providers

Your uploaded quote and relevant vehicle information are processed by third-party AI providers to generate the report. We share information only with providers needed to operate the service, including hosting and database providers, AI providers, Paddle as Merchant of Record, and email providers. They receive information needed for their work and are subject to applicable privacy and security obligations.

We do not sell personal information or share it with repair shops for marketing or lead generation.

Retention

Quote files are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Related personal information is retained only as needed for reports, support, fraud prevention and applicable legal or accounting obligations. De-identified or aggregated pricing data may be kept after quote files are deleted.

Your rights and choices

You may request access to or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@getfairwrench.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request and may retain information where required by law.

Depending on where you live, California and other US state privacy laws may give you rights to know about, access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses or sharing. We do not sell personal information. You may exercise applicable rights without discrimination, use an authorized agent where permitted, and ask us to review a denied request. Cookies and analytics

We use browser storage or cookies where needed for site operation and sign-in, along with basic analytics events to understand service use and reliability. You can manage cookies through your browser; blocking necessary storage may affect some functions. We do not use quote uploads for advertising profiles.

Children

The service is not intended for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect their information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can address it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, including private storage for quote files and restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for your check.

Business transfers

If FairWrench, VF DIGITAL ASSETS MEDIA LLC, or their assets are sold, merged or transferred, user information may be transferred to the new owner. The new owner will be bound by this Privacy Policy, subject to any lawful updates and required notice.
